About this painting:

A Woodabe man stands proudly, pouring his heart into captivating his future wife, embodying tradition and devotion with every step. His pursuit promises new beginnings and generations yet to come, as he dances beneath the African sky, seemingly birthing celestial wonders with each beat of his heart. In their embrace, they find solace and strength, their love a beacon of hope amidst the desert night, echoing through the ages as a timeless reminder of enduring human connection.

The Wodaabe, also known as the Mbororo or Bororo, are a small subgroup of the Fulani ethnic group. They are traditionally nomadic cattle-herders and traders in the Sahel, with migrations stretching from southern Niger, through northern Nigeria, northeastern Cameroon, southwestern Chad, and the western region of the Central African Republic. The number of Wodaabe was estimated in 2001 to be 100,000. They are known for their elaborate attire and rich cultural ceremonies. Wikipedia
