Haile Selassie I (23 July 1892 – 27 August 1975) was Crown Prince, Regent, and Emperor of the Ethiopian Empire from 1916 to 1974, a pivotal figure in Ethiopian history. He belonged to the Solomonic dynasty, tracing his lineage to Emperor Menelik I.

Empress Menen Asfaw (26 Megabit 1881 Ethiopian Calendar – 15 February 1962) was the Empress consort of the Ethiopian Empire, wife of Emperor Haile Selassie.
