Oya moves through a veil of clouds, vast and unhurried, the cosmos opening around her. In her palms a hurricane gathers, alive and waiting, the breath of every storm she has ever called by name. She carries the strength of Africa in her stillness, the kind of power that does not flinch at what must end. She is the orisha of winds and change, the one who tears down what no longer serves so something truer can rise. To stand before her is to remember that every new foundation begins in the wreckage of the old, and that her children were built to rise from it.
