About this painting:

Some say true unconditional love doesn't exist, but Kintu, a resilient man who fought for his love and endured a great series of tests, will prove that to be wrong. Each test representing obstacles that one may experience through the journey of love Kintu persevered through each of them by keeping his eyes on his one true love, Nambi. He was to eat a feast made to feed hundreds, break rocks with a copper ax, fill a pot to the brim with the dawn's dew, and pick his cow out of Gulu's (Nambi's father) large herd. One may think that such deeds are hard to overcome, but Kintu is a man that proves true love is the strength to overcome any adversaries. Through my most recent release, you will feel and experience the love and resiliency that existed in this Uganda tale.

Kintu is a mythological figure who appears in a creation myth of the Uganda people of BugandaUganda. According to this legend, Kintu was the first person on earth and the first man to wander the plains of Uganda alone. He is also known as God or the father of all people who created the first kingdoms. (Wikipedia)
